Just went to take a look at this car today. There is an electric flaw so that the battery drains when the car is parked and not running. I was willing to take it to a BMW tehnician to figure it out, considering that my friend, its 2nd owner bought the car when he lived in California. He is like 50 and owned it since like 1995, as the 2nd owner. Engine had been great all this time so i figured, good idea yes? well plan was to leave it at a technician’s shop and tomorrow when he opens shop he can tell me whats up. Unfortunately as I was about to pulll out after the testdrive and head off, i saw a large dark dried puddle on the ground…. a broken fuel line. Seems that there is a torn line… splashings of gas splashed beneath the driver’s side. I was dismayed. My heart was set on this car. Will have to leave it there and see if its worth towing. My quest for a new old ride continues.
